The ninth annual Miss Farmington Pageant will kick off the summer Dew Days festival at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 18 at Farmington High School.
Sponsored by Castle Rock, Empire, Eureka and Farmington Enhancement Group, the crowning is held prior to Dew Days events to allow for more appearances of Miss Farmington and her court.
Each Miss Farmington and Little Miss Farmington candidate is judged on her personality, poise and creativity.
Miss Farmington candidates are also judged on talent.
Miss Farmington receives a $1,500 scholarship, an official portrait,
tiara, sash and flowers. The first and second princesses are awarded
$500 scholarships, tiaras, sashes and flowers.
Little Miss Farmington candidates are judged on posters that depict the
Farmington community. Little Miss Farmington receives a $50 savings
bond, an official portrait, tiara, sash and flowers.
Savings bonds are also given to the candidate with the highest Dew Days
button sales and to Miss Congeniality who is chosen by her peers.
Miss Farmington candidates are: Alysha-Aubrey Bursey, Rachel Herme, Chelsea Kampa, Anna Limbeck, Rachel Marzahn and Emily Laura Paget. Little Miss candidates are Lindsey Brugger, Karina Collier, Gabbie Hudson, Madison Maroni, Amanda Ruth, Mackenzie Schneider, Emma Smith, Taylor Thorberg, Kiya Vincent, Kelsie Vincent, Morgan Witzel, and Karisa Zakoski.
