Russell J. Bower Sr., 84, of Farmington, died peacefully from leukemia on June 30, 2008.  He was born in Munising, Mich., and was a U.S. Army Air Force veteran of World War II.  Russell was kind to all, had a good sense of humor, and will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by wife, Doris, and sister, Eva.  He is survived by children, Russ Jr. (Jeanne), Doreen Bower, Debrah (Robert) Horvath; five grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; brothers, Arthur and Robert.  Services were held at Fort  Snelling National Cemetery.  Arrangements were made by the Cremation Society of Minnesota, Minneapolis.
