Derrick Williams is editor of Thisweek Life & Times, a role he's had since July 2006. The Life & Times is Thisweek Newspaper's largest circulation weekly, serving more than 15,000 homes in Lakeville and Eureka Township. Derrick's tenure with Thisweek Newspapers began in October 2005 when he took over as editor of Thisweek Prior Lake. Before that he served as co-editor, staff writer, columnist and jack-of-all-trades for The Student Voice, the campus newspaper serving the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. It was there he received hisĘbachelor of arts in journalism with a minor in political science in May 2005. While at the Student Voice, Derrick was selected to attend a collegiate newspaper editorĘsymposium focusing on the role of newspapers in a democracy at the New York Times world headquarters in New York, N.Y. In addition to covering the city of Lakeville, Derrick also covers the Lakeville Area School District and Eureka Township. |
