Storm Swimmers Dazzle at Twin A Meet
The South Metro Storm swimmers competed in the Twin A meet at the University of Minnesota Aquatic Center on June 5 and 6.
Swimmers with A-level times competed at the meet, with most teams in the state attending.
“Our kids are coming together as a team and more importantly are reaping the rewards of hard work, focus and practice efforts,” coach Phil Smith said. “I couldn’t be more pleased with their progress.”
The Storm set 41 new team records at the meet and were led with first place swims by Regan Smith, Ryan Husband and Ryan Young. The following individuals placed in the overall Top 16 for the Storm: (TR) = Age Group Team Records
Girls ages 8 and under
Regan Smith: First place – 50 butterfly (TR) Second place – 50 backstroke (TR), Third place – 100 freestyle (TR) Sixth place – 50 freestyle (TR) Seventh place – 50 breaststroke

Ryan Husband: First place – 50 (TR) and 100 (TR) freestyle, 50 backstroke (TR) and 50 butterfly (TR)Second place – 50 breaststroke (TR)
